Vitruvius, the Vitruvian man from Leonardo Da Vinci ring in silver

Our "Vitruvian" ring is a tribute to the famous drawing we all recognize. The Vitruvian Man is a drawing created with pen and ink at the end of the 15th century by Leonardo da Vinci, based on the ancient architectural treatise *De Architectura* written by the Roman architect Vitruvius in 15 BC.

This drawing depicts a man in two superimposed positions, with his arms and legs apart, inscribed in a square and a circle, symbolic of the perfect geometric shapes according to the ideals of the Renaissance in the 15th century. It embodies the perfect ideal proportions of the human body and symbolizes Humanism, placing man at the center of the universe.

Our ring takes the form of a signet ring with a circular face. This face is engraved with Leonardo da Vinci’s drawing, paying homage to the Vitruvian Man and its historical and artistic significance. The choice of a circular face is intentional; it recalls the perfection of the circle in Leonardo’s work, as well as the balance and harmony of human proportions.

This engraved design also becomes a symbolic link between the numerous universal disciplines studied by Leonardo da Vinci, including art, anatomy, geometry, mathematics, cosmology, philosophy, metaphysics, Christian mysticism, and the concept of God. By wearing this ring, you carry with you a representation of ideal proportions and a celebration of Leonardo da Vinci’s countless contributions to human knowledge.

The Vitruvian silver ring is a piece that symbolizes the union of science and art, an invitation to explore the mysteries of humanity and to appreciate the beauty of geometric perfection. It embodies the ideals of the Renaissance, a time when man sought to understand and harmonize his existence with the universal principles of nature and the universe.
