Tribal, ethnic squares and circles ring in sterling silver

 

The "Tribal" ring is a unique piece inspired by the geometric patterns of ethnic weavings from South America, dating back to the pre-Columbian period. These motifs, deeply rooted in the tradition of weaving, are passed down from generation to generation, preserving an ancestral craftsmanship and a rich cultural heritage.

Each geometric pattern carries a particular significance depending on the ethnic groups, although some of these meanings have been lost over time. The motifs were not only decorative but also served as distinctive markers to identify ethnicities, social statuses, and families.

Our ring features a frieze of diamonds with a circle in its center, a design that evokes powerful and sacred symbols in Andean culture. The circle is a sacred shape, representing the sun, the main god and creator of the Andean people. It also symbolizes the union between man and nature, evoking the horizon, the celestial vault, the path of the sun, and the cycle of the seasons.

The diamond shape, on the other hand, is often considered a symbol of vision and power among the Andean populations. It represents clarity of perception and authority, giving the wearer a sense of connection with natural and spiritual forces.

Manufacturing time: 5 business days.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1 mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
