ABOUT
Our Japanese ring "Tachiwaki" features a traditional motif that signifies "rising steam." The two wavy lines engraved on the ring represent steam gracefully ascending towards the sky. Due to its complexity, this motif was once primarily used on the kimonos of high-ranking individuals, indicating its prestige and sophistication.
In this creation, the Tachiwaki motif is beautifully complemented by a central cloud, forming a new pattern called "kumotatewaku." This combination creates a harmonious and poetic visual representation, evoking the mist rising over marshes, ponds, and waterways in spring. This morning mist, known as "kiri" in Japanese, adds an additional dimension of beauty and mystery to the ring.
The Tachiwaki motif symbolizes not only the elevation of the spirit but also resilience and the ability to overcome adversity, just as steam rises slowly and surely towards the sky. The "Tachiwaki" ring is a metaphor for personal growth and perseverance in the face of life’s challenges.
Crafted in silver, this ring combines tradition and modernity, offering a refined aesthetic while honoring Japanese cultural motifs. Each engraved detail has been executed with great precision and deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.
