INSPIRATION
The "Poseidon" ring features a band engraved with stylized wave patterns in the form of spirals, carved into a golden brass surface that gives it a sunlit, almost sacred glow. Inspired by the friezes of ancient Greece, this maritime motif is a legacy of the decorative elements once found on ceramics, mosaics, or carved into the stone of temples — particularly those dedicated to sea deities.
These undulating lines, evoking wind-swept waves, convey both the soothing fluidity of the sea and its unpredictable strength. They echo the presence of Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas and oceans, often depicted brandishing his trident amidst the waves. This ancient motif could well have adorned the walls or pediments of a temple raised in his honor.
Like the god whose name it bears, this ring embodies a balance between calm and fury, between order and chaos. The repetition of the pattern symbolizes the constancy of the tides, while the spiral shape recalls deep, mysterious, and untamable currents. Wearing this ring is thus carrying a fragment of that primordial force — wild and beautiful — that links ancient myth to the ever-shifting nature of the sea.
