Okeanos, Greek mythology necklace in silver and ocean jasper

This rounded and textured pendant immediately evokes the sea. The choice of ocean jasper naturally guided the creation toward a maritime universe, echoing the fabulous tales of Greek mythology. It's impossible not to think of Ulysses, the legendary hero of the Odyssey, an eternal wanderer tossed by the waves and the whims of the gods.

The drop-shaped stone, pointing downward, seems to drip like a tear from the ocean. Predominantly green, it is speckled with white and pink orbs, resembling scattered islands in an infinite expanse. This ocean jasper calls to mind an ancient, vividly colored nautical map—one that might have guided the boldest sailors through the mysteries of the deep sea.

Beneath the stone, a silver compass rose spreads its petal-like arms around a central dome. It recalls Ulysses' perilous journeys across stormy seas and the divine trials he endured. The central disk subtly alludes to the single eye of the Cyclops Polyphemus, defeated by Ulysses' cunning—a nod to the hero's ingenuity and his constant search for direction in a disoriented world.

The left side and top of the stone are adorned with silver hemispheres of various sizes, evoking bubbles or seafoam stirred by Poseidon's wrath. On the back of the pendant, circular cutouts reveal the inner beauty of the stone, highlighting its depth while once again referencing the swirling foam of a turbulent sea.

The necklace bears the name Okeanos, the ancient Greek word for "ocean," but also the name of the primordial Titan of the waters, a cosmic deity who encircled the world in an endless river. Father of rivers, springs, and clouds, Okeanos embodies the original and cyclical force of water—one that carries away, transforms, and renews.
