Lunar halo, baroque moon earrings in sterling silver
Lunar Halo is part of a collection of earrings inspired by the mysterious and captivating halos that surround the light of celestial bodies in the night sky. The halo is a luminous, diffuse, and ethereal veil that extends the celestial glow, capturing the poetry of the night.
These silver earrings stand out due to their connection with nature and vegetation, recalling the moon’s benevolent role in the growth and flowering cycles of plants. The structure of these earrings hangs from a double-leaf motif inspired by the elegant curves of baroque designs. Suspended, this droplet shape evokes the organic world and emphasizes the lunar influence on life cycles.
At the heart of this composition, a silver hemisphere, placed eccentrically on a silver disc, symbolizes the full moon. This intentional offset creates an illusion of a crescent moon on the disc, representing different lunar phases that guide planting and harvests, while adding depth to the piece.
A pattern of radiating leaves emerges from the central disc, suggesting the softness of the lunar halo that illuminates peaceful nights. This play of light invites tranquility, paying homage to the calming effects of moonlight on the slumbering earth.
To connect the sky to the earth, a series of small horizontal bars suspended beneath the moon evokes a subtle ladder, embodying the harmony between the moon and the earth, and highlighting the sacred link between the starry sky and the fertile soil.
