Bijali, side pull for horses pendant in silver and aventurine
This side pull pendant is the result of a unique collaboration between a specialized saddlery and a passionate rider, aiming to add a personalized touch of elegance to her horse's tack.
The saddlery, created by Sellerie L’Hôte, renowned for its expertise in leatherworking, designed the bridle with particular attention to both technical and aesthetic details. The pendant, designed by the rider, meets specific requirements: durability and perfect adaptation to the side pull. The expert guidance of Sellerie L’Hôte made it possible to create a piece of jewelry that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The heart of this pendant is a lemon-green aventurine in the shape of a drop, a stone known for its soothing and luck-bringing properties. Its vivid hue beautifully contrasts with the horse’s black coat, creating a captivating focal point. Aventurine also symbolizes serenity and positive energy, qualities that harmonize with the bond between rider and horse.
Beneath the stone, three small silver spheres are finely soldered, adding a touch of sophistication to the design. The pendant is attached to a thick, hammered rectangular silver band, designed to capture and reflect light. This band, built for strength and durability, is secured to the side pull with a robust rivet, ensuring perfect stability even during movement.
This project, full of discoveries, allowed us to create a unique piece of jewelry that combines art, craftsmanship, and functionality. Working with experts from the equestrian world and using noble materials has given us a glimpse into a fascinating and demanding universe.
The pendant is named Bijali, a Hindi word meaning "flash," "lightning," or "electricity." This poetic term evokes power, light, and spectacular moments. Through this jewelry, the name embodies both the energy of the horse and the timeless elegance of this pendant, designed to shine both literally and metaphorically.
