ABOUT
This sterling silver ring is a custom order for one of our customers with chinese characters which were engraved on the band.
The writing refers to the Chinese Wei Wu Wei which could be translated by acting in the no acting, which is a spiritual taoist principle.
Henri Borel says about the Wu Wei: When Lao Tseu talked about Wu Wei, the no acting principle, he did not understand the ordinary no acting, lazy contentment with closed eyes. He thus pointed to the inaction of terrestrial movements, desires, and aspirations toward things devoid of realities. And he heard the action of real things; An activity of the most energetic of the soul which must be freed from the sad flesh, as one opens his cage to the captive bird. He heard the abandonment to the inner power, the rhythm you hold of Tao, and which brings you back to it.
Metal: sterling silver.
Width: 12 mm.
