Marie-Antoinette, cameo flower necklace in sterling silver and mookaite jasper
"They took everything from me, except my heat that will stay here to love you".
This quote from Marie-Antoinette is so poetic and sincere that I thought it would wonderfully illustrate a necklace.
This necklace is made of a pendant in the shape of a cameo, which was decorated with petals on the lower part of the pendant. A mookaite stone is bezel set on it. This stone shows purpura and burgundy colors. On the back, I hand sawed a pattern to let you see the color of the stone too. I lightly hand engraved the quote from Marie-Antoinette.
The link was soldered in a rustic way to remind of the sadness and the melancholy of the queen that were flowing from her eyes. This necklace is very symbolic.
The finish is shiny and oxidized. It shows shiny and oxidized parts.
This necklace will be perfect for a person who loves flowers, the baroque style, rustic finish and the vintage look of a jewel.
The necklace is 45.5cm long.
The pendant is 4.4 x 2.8 cm.
