ABOUT
This ring is made of sterling silver (925) handmade in my workshop, and a nice Mexican cantera opal.
This opal taken in its matrix consists of a layer ranging from opaque to transparent milky, in which we can observe the colorful hues of opal. It shows shades of blue, red, orange and green, depending on the angle of the light that strikes its surface.
This particular semi-precious stone immediately evoked for me the astronomical phenomenon nebulae, hence its name. These clouds (evoked by the milky area) composed of rarefied gas, ionized and stardust, which, by their composition, shows diverse and diffuse colors.
To complete this portion of the universe seen in the telescope, I set the stone with a series of small planets and moons made with small sterling silver discs soldered on each side.
