JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
ABOUT
It is made of 925 fine silver made by hand in my workshop.
This pendant is inspired by the drop shape and the colors of this labradorite. It shows color variations and important reflections that change from deep blue to turquoise, through the gray, green...
Cut to drop shape, the cabochon and its color evoked for me the ending of peacock feathers, the eyespot. So I named it Mora, meaning peacock in Hindi.
In keeping with the spirit of this bird, I added symbolic forms reminiscent of peacock under the stone. It includes an eye and a feather plume.
The name in Hindi was chosen because this animal is particularly important in India, where it became a national symbol in 1963. It is very present in the Indian culture and tradition as it is a symbol of grace, joy, beauty and of love. It is also present throughout the history of this country since it is found in Hinduism, Buddhism, grand palaces and even in the Mughal reign.
This pendant measures about 6 x 2 cm.
It is signed on the back.
The sole pendant is sold.
Raw, oxidized and brushed finish
