JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
The equinox, that moment of celestial harmony where day and night meet in an ephemeral embrace, balancing the world in a symphony of temporal equality. Twice a year, this remarkable phenomenon marks the transition between seasons, reminding us of the constant cosmic dance that shapes our existence.
In many ancient cultures, the equinox was considered a sacred moment. For the Persians, the spring equinox marked Nowruz, the New Year, a celebration of renewal and light. In Celtic traditions, the autumn equinox opened the harvest season, a time for reflection, learning, and gratitude. Everywhere, the equinox represents a passage: between light and darkness, between what begins and what ends.
The "Equinox" brooch captures this energy of transition, this border between the known and the unknown, between the dazzling light of day and the enchanting mystery of night. Made of silver and labradorite, it becomes a true ode to the universe, where every detail tells an infinite story.
Within a softly curved rectangle, radiant triangle motifs evoke both the power of the sun and the myriad of stars scattered across the celestial vault. At the center of this composition, a labradorite with shifting reflections, like a mirror of the skies, captures the fluid essence of day and night in shades of bluish gray, deep green, and shifting light.
A line of small circles divides the brooch in two, like a line of balance between day and night, between light and darkness. This band symbolizes the ecliptic or the celestial equator, the thin strip of sky where the movements of the stars briefly align. On either side of this delicate boundary, two crescent moons silently watch, reminding us of the eternal duality of existence, the complementarity of shadow and light, and the promise held within every oscillation of time.
The "Equinox" brooch is an invitation to contemplate the ephemeral beauty of the equinox, to listen to the rhythms of the sky, and to celebrate the infinite magic of each new stage in our earthly journey.
